- Eat a diet composed of mainly unrefined foods (whole grains, fruits,
vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds), drink at least 6 glasses of water daily, and
get lots of exercise. This will avoid most colon problems.
- Avoid too much spicy food, greasy food, animal fat. Keep oil, margarine, and
sugar to a minimum.
- Chew your food well, eat slowly.
- Eating a high roughage, low refined carbohydrate diet, will do much for
constipation.
- Stay away from Cold drinks and food (frozen or direct out of the fridge)
- In severe cases stay off all dairy for one month and see if your condition
improves.
- Upon rising, drink 1 glass of hot water with a squeeze of ½ a lemon.
Lemon juice helps stimulate the liver to produce more bile, which is used
by our body as a natural laxative reaction.
- Drink more warm water instead of coffee or tea.
- Dandelion Tea is great for your liver & kidneys
- Fresh juices, specially carrot, beetroot and spinach – good for
constipation and liver.
Add some dandelion leaves, parsley or milk thistle leaves if you like.
Don’t mix fruit and vegie juices!
- Drinking 500ml of ocean
water mixed with 1ltr of distilled water upon rising will help with bowel
movement.
- Drinking Aloe Vera juice can help relieve constipation
- Ginger tea – helps speed up your metabolism
- Peppermint tea – helps with digestion and flatulence
- Oolong tea – helps to digest fat.
- Fennel tea- helps with flatulence
- Green tea- good antioxidant
- At night you might want to drink a glass of warm milk (un-homogenized!)
with spices like cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, ginger, saffron and sugar. This
helps digestion.
- After dinner a cup of 'Takaram' assists digestion (1/4-cup yogurt blended
with 1 cup of water with ½ teaspoon ginger and cumin seed powder, or other
spices. Discard the frothy bit).
- Never add honey to hot drinks; always have honey cold
- Sip warm water with meals if you like.
- Minimize caffeine and alcohol.
- Evaluate and treat if necessary your liver, thyroid,
adrenals, stomach, small intestine. All can affect your colon.
- If you suspect nerve pressure is affecting your colon (especially if you
suffer from low back pain) see a good body worker.
- In cases of colitis check for adrenal insufficiency (hypoadrenia),
diminished secretion of hydrochloric acid (hypochlorhydria), and decreased
thymus function (hypothyroid).
- In cases of diarrhea, find the cause. To relieve symptoms
a hot half bath is helpful, as is an enema. Eating unrefined carob or chewing on
a guava leaf can also relieve diarrhea.
- Evaluate your liver, thyroid, ileocecal valve, and parathyroid for
possible involvement.
- Herbs like mullein, slippery elm and red raspberry leaves are good for the
digestive system
- A castor oil pack over the colon can be very helpful to relive pain,
cramping and toxins. Warm up the castor oil. Soak a cloth in it, put on your
tummy, cover with glad-wrap, put a towel over it with a hot water bottle.
Leave for at least 2 hours.
- A heating pad over the bowel can often relieve pain there.
- Get lots of exercise without exerting yourself.
- A warm or hot compress to the abdomen, or a hot sitz-bath can be helpful
in relieving constipation.
- Try to develop regularity in bowel habits and don’t inhibit the natural
urge to defecate whenever possible.
- After antibiotic treatments, when you have candida or during extensive
cleansing / fasting have some acidophillus-bifidus to encourage the growth of
bowel flora.
- Epsom salt bath is great for stimulating toxins to release through the
skin, great muscle relaxant, because of its magnesium sulphate property. You
could also mix epsom salts with almond oil and scrub all over the body
starting with the feet and working all the way to the neck, towards the heart for
5 mins, before lying in your hot epsom salt bath for 20 mins. Good for the
lymphatic system.
Dr. William H. Schuessler of Oldenburg, Germany published Shortened
Therapeutics in 1873. His practical work concentrated on just 12 simple
mineral combinations, or salts, which he believed to be crucial to the health of
the body. The biochemic remedies are not selected according to the similarity
principle of homoeopathy. They are chemically pure salts, homogeneous to the
cell-minerals in human body, physiologically and chemically in close relation to
them. By the aid of these minerals, disturbed molecular motion in the cells can
be rectified, as, taken for a certain period, these salts will compensate the
losses incurred during a disease. Thus, the cells will recover, and will be able
to overcome the disease completely.
Schuessler Salts can be used in conjunction with an implant. They are available
in most health food stores. Be guided by the recommended dosage.
Following is a list of some Schuessler Salts with the symptoms they can

Don’t take life too seriously, have fun, enjoy.
If you don’t like the food you eat or you eat while in a bad mood your body
will not digest properly no matter what you eat!
If you think a lot of negative thoughts and have negative emotions like envy,
anger, greed and fear you won't get very far with your health no matter how many
treatments you have.
The more you give, the more you get. Give to yourself and others,
especially the gift of love!
You know you have achieved total health when you are not only feeling happy
and healthy with no restrictive thoughts or emotions (like: "I can't eat this or
I can't drink that or I can't be happy because....") but when you are able to
share that joy with others.
